We believe great coffee is not only about taste, it’s also about the people and the environment.
Growing coffee should not have to trap people in to poverty. Growing coffee should not have to degrade the quality of the environment we live in. We don’t believe that farming has to be destructive and that is why we have set out to focus our brand on social and environmental sustainability. Our coffees come from farms that are working tirelessly to restore a balance between the environment and a profitable commercial business. We don’t stop there, we also focus greatly on how the people who are working on these farms are being compensated.
Our coffee helps society grow in a positive and productive manner. It is not destructive; it is constructive.
It started with a family in love with coffee.
Passion drives us and the land healed us.
Angela started pure heart coffee back in 2019 after working two years on her family’s coffee farm that was not profitable and therefore not sustainable. She had previously studied architecture at Virginia Tech but her main skill is organization and her main motivation is serving others. Angela found an opportunity on her family’s farm to grow a sustainable business that works in harmony with the environment and supports underprivileged families in her community. She is driven to make coffee farming a professional business where people actually want to work. Today she works with other coffee farms in her area that have the same vision, and together they are changing the coffee industry from the bottom up.
