Lineated Woodpecker
This coffee is one of the first batches we are buying from a Daniela Nieto from her farm “El Rosal” in Quimbaya, Quindio. They are currently making the incredible transition to organic farming and we are very excited to be a part of supporting this difficult but important transition. The honey process has two phases of fermentation.
Notes : Dark chocolate, clove, and caramelized lime.
Producer : Daniela Nieto
The lineated woodpecker primarily feed off insects and are often found drilling into dead trees or branches that have become infested looking for food or building their next nest. Drumming, like many other woodpeckers is also a form of communication for them.
